EmpowerABLE was a Finalist in the Learning Planet YouthDesign Challenge

In January of 2025, Sheraya Amarasekara, the founder of EmpowerABLE, recently entered EmpowerABLE into the Learning Planet Youth Design Challenge, which was launched in September during the UN General Assembly to inspire young change-makers.

The challenge was an international competition launched by the Learning Planet Institute in partnership with UNESCO. There were over 1000 sign ups from 105 countries who signed up resulting in just under 300 final programs submitted, where EmpowerABLE became one of the 12 finalists! We are so glad that EmpowerABLE is getting recognised on an international scale! 🌍
